Amsterdam University Press and Leiden University Press sign international distribution and marketing agreement

Amsterdam University Press (AUP) will internationally distribute and market titles published by Leiden University Press in print and digital format effective 1 July 2022.

The agreement will strengthen the relationship between AUP and LUP, presses that operate from historically and culturally significant cities in the development of scholarship. It will ensure that the research of LUP authors reaches a worldwide audience.

Jan-Peter Wissink (left on the picture), Managing Director AUP, said:
“I am proud that AUP will present LUP alongside each other in the international academic market. We look forward to working with LUP, an esteemed university press from the world-famous Leiden University, to help them achieve global visibility.”

Kurt De Belder, Director LUP, said:
“We look forward to expanding the international distribution of LUP’s titles in print and digital format. This agreement with AUP will increase our reach and will provide our authors access to a global audience.”

Saskia Gieling, Managing Publisher LUP, said:
“We publish books that are of interest to a global community of scholars and students. As such, we are pleased that our works will now be available to readers throughout the world.”
